Message from a Trainer
Dear graduates, a few years ago, I was also in the same situation as you are
now, also a student of the Filipino Computer Club. I used to wake up early on
Friday morning, a day when I was supposed to be off, just to attend my class.
I’m sure you can relate to my situation.
Well, that was before. Now, I still wake up early on Friday morning to attend
the earliest class but not as a student, but as a trainer. Being a trainer gives
me a great satisfaction that I am given the opportunity to give back what was
imparted to me by my trainers. Your eagerness and determination dear students
gave me inspiration to become better and for me to work harder to improve my
craft.
Remember, your graduation does not mark the end of your education. In fact,
it is the beginning to a better and brighter future. Learning does not stop
here. Consider everything a learning process and everyday a learning experience.
Move upward. Whatever you are, whoever you are, whatever you do, does not
matter. What matters most is your determination not only to learn but also to
improve yourself. Make today a stepping-stone to a better life not only for
yourself but for our country as well. We should be proud that we are Filipinos.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the founder, Ms. Jijie
Zablan, the president, Mrs. Cherry Pye Zablan Torres, the officers, trainers and
volunteers of the Filipino Computer Club. Though I never dreamed that one day, I
could be called a “trainer”, circumstances made me one. Although I am new to
this endeavor, nobody in FCC doubted my capacity. Nobody questioned me whether I
am capable of training students even if my educational background did not
involved computers. All I got were words of encouragement and endless guidance.
For this, I am so grateful.
I am so happy that I became a part of a group of dedicated individuals whose
goal in life is to serve our kababayans.
Lastly, in behalf of the Filipino Computer Club volunteers and trainers, I
hope that you have learned something that can be useful to you as you go along
with your daily lives and since education is a never-ending process, I hope to
see you all on the next sessions.
Thank you and good evening.
